Freshcare Training

Freshcare Training

For businesses participating in the Freshcare Food Safety & Quality Program, at least one business representative is required to complete Freshcare training.

Freshcare training provides participants with a practical understanding of the Code and program requirements, how they apply to your business, and what needs to be implemented, maintained and demonstrated at audit.

Our training focuses on more than simply understanding the requirements. We help participants understand how to apply Freshcare within their own business and production systems, giving you greater confidence to maintain compliance and prepare for audit.

Your Trainer

With more than 10 years’ experience delivering accredited and non-accredited training to adult learners, Kylie Jackson brings practical industry knowledge and a strong understanding of Queensland horticulture to Freshcare training.

Kylie’s experience across compliance, food safety, workforce development and business support enables training to be delivered in a practical and informative way, with plenty of opportunity for discussion and questions.

Rather than simply working through the Code, Kylie helps participants understand what the requirements mean in practice and how they can be incorporated into their day-to-day operations.

Training can be delivered at the BFVG office or your preferred location, providing a flexible option for businesses and teams.

Putting Freshcare into Practice

Freshcare training provides the foundation for implementing the program within your business’s production and operating systems.

Course materials include template record-keeping documents and supporting resources to help you apply the requirements and maintain your records.

Some elements of the FSQ4.2 Code require verification testing to demonstrate compliance. Where applicable, it is recommended that required verification testing is completed before your audit, allowing any issues to be identified and addressed early.
