Remuneration: $28-$30 per hour + Leading hand allowance

Sunripe is a local family-run business that has become the largest producer of field grown snacking tomatoes in Australia. We have transformed a small snacking tomato farm into a quality-focused grower with multiple farms and a state-of-the-art packing facility near Bundaberg, servicing chain stores and local and interstate markets with premium quality fruit and produce! We are a large team of passionate people, and we are looking for a value-driven individual to join our team.

About the Role

As our next packing shed team leader, you will supervise and direct packing shed staff to ensure produce is packed efficiently with a focus on quality, safety, and food safety.

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Prepare appropriate Machinery and equipment for daily duties.
  • Supervise shed operations.
  • Clean and maintain end-of-line equipment.
  • Maintain packaging consumable stock levels.
  • Complete incident and hazard reports as required.

  • Great team player with a can-do attitude
  • Leadership skills 
  • Fresh produce industry experience – a distinct advantage but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Proactive thinking. 
  • Intermediate computer skills.

  • Experience in working in an orchard.
  • Experience with operation of farm machinery and maintenance
  • Forklift licence – Essential
  • Drivers’ licence – Essential
  • Must be able to work safely, alone and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills with good problem-solving ability and a positive attitude to work. – Essential
  • Be physically fit and able to fulfill all requirements of the role.
  • Ability to complete accurate records (paper and online).
