Role: Shed Manager
Commencing: ASAP
Hours: 25-38hrs pw
A full time position may be offered to the right person
Award: Horticulture Award, Adult casual rate negotiable with employer
Location: The farm is situated approximately 10min from Bundaberg central
About the Role
As the shed manager, you will be responsible for coordinating produce packing activities, communicating with market agents as required and have sound communication and organisational skills whilst liaising with Farm Managers.
You will be proficient at maintaining harvest and transport records and confident in using appropriate technology to record data.
The business is a food safe certified business, therefore implementing and monitoring Quality Assurance processes are integral to the businesses success. You will have a sound understanding of food safety practices, and risk management.
You will have the ability to work autonomously and carry out any additional tasks as directed by the Farm Managers. On the job training will be provided.
Candidate selection
- Valid drivers licence and reliable transport – required
- You will have strong communication skills and the ability to delegate tasks as required
- Sound computing skills
- Physically fit and prepared to work in a range of weather conditions
- Forklift licence – desired
- Truck licence (HR) – highly advantageous
- Previous experience supervising workers – desired
- Previous experience in a food safe business or similar
