The North Burnett Community & Careers expo is the first event ever of it’s kind to be hosted in the North Burnett, it is FREE to exhibit for all regional businesses.
It’s an opportunity to Showcase & Explore current vacancies, promote & discover future opportunities, highlight & identify the skilled and unskilled pathways into your business and engage with local youth, jobseekers and regional businesses.
There will be engaging activities for local high school students, encouraging them to visit all exhibitors to find out about local businesses, to identify future career pathways and apply for any existing vacancies.
The expo will be open to the public and surrounding High Schools from 10:00am and will close at 3:00pm.
Exhibitors are invited to a debrief networking & workforce planning workshop from 3:30pm – 5:00pm for a presentation with Queensland Government’s Mentor 4 Growth mentors and Industry Workforce Advisors to help local businesses identify opportunities to recruit from the local workforce pool.

Back to Work offers support for eligible jobseekers who need to update their skills to gain or retain employment. The program provides an opportunity for jobseekers and those at risk of unemployment to upskill and retrain for jobs to keep pace with a changing Queensland economy. Back to Work also provides intensive support to eligible jobseekers under a Pre Employment Program
Central Queensland Indigenous Development (CQID)
Central Queensland Indigenous Development (CQID) Is a support service to the community. There are 7 CQID offices across Central Qld with many support service roles.

Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service is responsible for the delivery of public hospital and health services including medical, surgical, emergency, obstetrics, paediatrics, specialist outpatient clinics, mental health, critical care and clinical support services to people residing in a geographical area which incorporates the North Burnett, Bundaberg and Fraser Coast local government areas and part of Gladstone local government area (Miriam Vale).
