Jamie is a 4th generation farmer who in the past has farmed a mix of sugar cane, most types of melons/cucurbits, potatoes, and cattle.
In the past 15 years he and his family have slowly transitioned to tree crops (lychees and macadamias). As such, he has first hand experience in the different challenges the many different crops grown in this region dish up.
He is a passionate advocate for farmers and the issues they face, in particular water security and the remediation of paradise dam.
He’s a father of four and a GA pilot, and lives with his wife and children on their farm in the Childers area.
