The Drought Resilience Self-Assessment Tool, or DR.SAT, has been developed by the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment under the Future Drought Fund.

DR.SAT is a free tool co-designed with farmers, alongside a broad range of existing agricultural stakeholders.

DR.SAT allows you to: 

• Assess your resilience – complete quick surveys to assess your financial as well as personal/social resilience. In pilot regions and commodities, you can assess your environmental resilience as well.
• Monitor your land – view satellite imagery and remote sensed data for your farm within the Bird’s Eye View feature. You can compare how things have changed over time by changing the dates. New images and data are added roughly every 6 days (depending on cloud cover) so check back regularly.
• Access climate projections – review climate impacts for your farm over 2030 and 2050 horizons, and at medium and high emissions scenarios. Impacts are calculated to within 5km, so projections are specific to your farm.
• Build your resilience – explore the Pathways feature to see options and ideas for continuing to build resilience.
