Advocacy | Paradise Dam

Paradise Dam

As growers, irrigators and business owners we are very concerned about the safety of our community, we are also concerned with the long-term viability of our community, jobs for our community and investment in and development of our region.

It is our belief that options for remediation on Paradise Dam need to be explored further. Our region, your business and your family cannot afford for our dam’s capacity to be reduced on the basis of testing not being comprehensive enough.

Please help us capture the importance of Paradise Dam to your business by filling out this short survey which will assist in the economic impact analysis that is being co-funded by Bundaberg Regional Council, Canegrowers Bundaberg and Isis and Bundaberg Fruit and Vegetable Growers.

If you are a macadamia grower we are seeking further information to guage water requirements for this expanding industry. Please capture your current and forward planting requirements here.

The three peak Industry representive organisations; BFVG and Canegrowers Bundaberg and Isis have united to actively work together to address the issues surrounding Paradise Dam. Whist we are individually progressing industry specific views our agreed advocacy positions are captured in this Joint Industry Statement.
