This is your opportunity to join a passionate team working to deliver services to agribusiness in the Wide Bay Burnett and provide one-on-one support to the Chief Executive Officer.

The role requires a sophisticated level of interpersonal, organisational and communication skills and will appeal to a flexible and adaptable person who has the capacity to take initiative to continue the provision of support to the Chief Executive Officer.

Your role

As an experienced, highly motivated Executive Assistant (EA), you are responsible for being one step ahead in anticipating the needs of the CEO.

Your duties will include

  • Administrative support to the CEO
  • Secretariat support of the Board including preparation of agendas, minutes, and correspondence.
  • Supporting incoming and outgoing correspondence (including responding on behalf of the CEO where appropriate)
  • Preparation of creative presentations and reports where required
  • Customer database management
  • Diary/Calendar Management
  • Management of CEO expenses, including credit card reimbursements
  • Domestic and International travel management, including adoption of personal preferences
  • Ensuring the business meets COVID requirements
  • Co-ordinating and managing special projects or events
  • Handling confidential information in a professional manner
  • Any other duties that may be required by the CEO from time to time in the performance of the job

Additional information

  • Hours for this position are flexible and well suited to someone looking to work within the 9-3 timeframe. Once per month there will be a requirement to work until approximately 7.30pm generally on a Monday.
  • This is a fixed-term contract. There is an option for further extension to the position but no guarantee
  • The position is to be based at the BFVG Office in Bundaberg, QLD
  • A criminal history check may be initiated on the successful applicant.
  • A serious discipline history check may be initiated on the successful applicant.
  • This position is subject to a 12-week period of probation
  • The successful applicant will have access to a BFVG vehicle for work related travel
  • Staff are required to actively participate in consultation and communication with management regarding health, safety and wellbeing issues and comply with all provisions of the relevant workplace health and safety legislation and related health, safety and wellbeing responsibilities and procedures developed by the department.
  • COVID vaccination not mandatory but preferred
  • Given the confidential nature of the role you will be required to sign a confidentiality document.

Contract length: Full time, fixed term contract 12 months with possible extension 
Part-time hours: 15 hours per week
Located: Bundaberg
Salary: $30.00 – $34.99 per hour + 10% superannuation
